On August 30, three immigrants from Ghana were discovered hiding aboard the bulk carrier GREAT SHENG WEN while the vessel was docked at the restricted area of PARADIP PORT, India.

The three immigrants believed to be stowaways are under the custody of Paradip Port of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for investigation.

The three Ghana individuals spotted aboard are not in the list of crewmembers of GREAT SHENG WEN. It is unclear of the exact circumstance of their boarding the vessel. The authorities have launched an investigation to determine three Ghanaian motive, their intended destination, and how and when they gained entry to the vessel.

GREAT SHENG WEN is a Hong Kong-flagged vessel that arrived at PARADIP Port to unload coal from KAVKAZ Port, Russia. The Marine Traffic data shows the vessel is in ballast and departed from Paradip Port, India on September 01.
